The 23-year-old Assam boxer prevailed 4-1 to make the last-four where she will square off against reigning world champion Busenaz Surmeneli of Turkey, who hammered Anna Lysenko in her quarterfinal bout. Indian woman archer Deepika Kumari defeated Ksenia Perova of Russia in the Women's 1/8 Elimination Round to enter the quarterfinals. Deepika will face Korea's An San in the quarters. India's ace shooters Manu Bhaker and Rahi Sarnobat failed to qualify for the medal event of the women's 25m pistol at the Asaka Shooting Range. Manu Bhaker scored 582 (17x) points while compatriot Rahi Sarnobat gathered 573 (23x) in the qualifications.
