Sensex rises 629 points amid positive cues
Equity indices finished higher on Thursday with the benchmark BSE sensex rising over 600 points led by gains in banking, financial stocks amid positive cues from domestic as well as global markets. The 30-share BSE index closed 629 points or 1.65 per cent higher at 38,697; while the broader NSE Nifty settled 169 points or 1.51 per cent higher at 11,417.
