Medals for 20 ITBP heroes who faced Chinese troops in eastern Ladakh

Twenty ITBP heroes who resisted the Chinese aggression in eastern Ladakh last year as well as a record 256 personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police, credited with successful counter-terror actions, are among 1,380 police personnel recognised for their gallantry, distinguished service and meritorious service on the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence. The total number of police medals awarded on I-Day eve this year is 49% higher than the 926 medals announced last year.
