The state government on Friday decided to reopen schools for Class 9 and 10 and pre-university colleges (I and II PUC) from August 23, alongside increasing the duration of night curfew by one hour. After reviewing the Covid-19 situation in the state with health and education experts, CM Basavaraj Bommai said schools and colleges will be asked to hold classes on alternate days by dividing students into two batches.
